MICHAEL JACKSON COVER "HEAL THE WORLD" IN AID OF JAMES BULGER HOUSE/RED BALOON LEARNER CENTRE.

News Flash: Heal the world by Bulief charted on the official UK chart in it's first week of release selling more copies in that week than major artists including: Coldplay, Pink, Robbie Williams, Green Day, Katy Perry, Mika, Biffy Clyro, MGMT, Paolo Nutini, Alexandra Burke and many more. The single also charted on the BPI Indie singles chart at no 16.

Matchbox Recordings will be releasing an incredible charity single on the 26 October 2009 featuring a group of young entertainers from Merseyside, Liverpool. The single by "Bulief" is a cover of Michael Jackson's hit " Heal the world" and is in aid of the Red Balloon Learner centre in Liverpool in the name of James Bulger House.

Michael Jackson who has sadly passed away sent flowers to James Bulger's mother Denise Fergus after his murder with a very personal letter and basket of flowers. Michael was in support of and aware of the single and it had been featured on his official website days before his death.

James Bulger House is for severly bullied children who cannot attend mainstream school and was set up to assist them with their education. The single features many artists from Merseyside including James Rooney, Terry devine, Amy Jane Devine, Alex Devine,  Gillian Ross, Diane Marsh, Steve Devine, Derek Barlow, Linder Sue Kiernan, Pat Devine, Paul Devine Tracey Byrne and Kevin Devine. It was produced by Lewis Devine. Terri Ann Devine is Head of events co-ordinator / spokesperson and Kelli Bond is events co-ordinator.

Esther Rantzen is patron and has been very supportive of the project being involved in the initial suggestion to build “James Bulger House” as a memory to James and to help bullied children.

James Bulger’s story from the perspective of his mother Denise Fergus and highlighting the “James Bulger House” charity project was aired on ITV Real crime on 27 August 2009.

1. Hi Denise ! Tell us all about how the "Bulief" single " Heal the world" came to light was it something you always wanted to do ?  

A group of liverpool artists kindly put the single together as they wanted to help with my charity. They decided to call themselves BULIEF as in bulger James's surname and believe we can give the kids a better future.
 
2. Tell us all about " James Bulger House" and the Red balloon charity ?

The James Bulger Red Balloon learner centre is to help severely bullied children who cannot attend mainstream school and to give them a chance to carry on their education in a safe and comfortable place. 
 
3. Where and how can people donate money towards James Bulger House ? . What facilities will it have ?

The school will have all the usual facilities of a normal school, science labs, I.T suite, art room, normal classrooms, also every thing in place for any disabled children that might attend the school. Anyone wishing to donate to this charity can do so by going to ...www.justgiving.com/jamesbulger

4. How did the charity night for the single go ? Where was it held and who else was in attendance ?

The charity night was one of the best nights I have ever been to. Everybody was and still are talking about it and cannot wait for the next one,There was a lot of talented artists,performers and comedians on the night,these included md productions,schooner,scarlett kiss these where just a few of the people that performed on the night also our special guest of the evening was Mike starkey ( Coronation Street ) .


5. Tell us about your contact with Michael Jackson, was he aware of James and the single ?

I'm sure Michael Jackson was aware because we needed permission for this single. He was aware of my son James as he sent a personal message to me with a large basket of flowers.


6. Our deepest sympathies go to you and your family and to James.  You are an extremely strong and thoughtful person now thinking of other children's needs. Although it is something that will never heal entirely do you feel that the work you are doing now helps you feel more positive or better about the situation ?

I do feel positive with this single as it means a lot to me,I had Michael Jacksons version played at my sons funeral. The words in the song are very touching,I feel the world does need healing with children going on to hurt or kill other children,its very upsetting the way the world is at the moment.

7. What music are you listening to at the moment ? . What are your all time favourite bands and artists ?

A bit of everything really,Michael Jackson,Justin Timberlake,allsorts I suppose !. My favourite. Michael Jackson,Justin Timberlake,George Michael,Robbie Williams,Elton John, as I have been to see all of these in concert but Michael Jacksons concerts will always be my favourite.
