This four piece guitar band hails from London and plays a gentle brand of
acoustic style folk pop. With all the lyrics written by Joseph (vocals and guitar) the songs tell grimy stories of so-called inner city life. They sing of fantasy and fiction,
obesity, odour, sickness, sadness and self-pity. There are tales of wine, wisdom, weekends and repugnant waste.
David Says:
A quirky lilting tune that definitely catches the ear. An intriguing blend of bleak lyrics with an up-tempo, optimistic sound.
Oxford's
catchy as hell and classic Quadrophobe above
2. Quadrophobe – Evelyn
A four-piece from Wantage, England Quadrophobe are Hughes - Rhythm Guitar & Vocals, Dan - Drums/Lead Guitar, Wilks - Sax/Keys/Drums, Jimbo - Bass, Funk Smith and Torben - Sax, official beer-taster. Harking from a town where the only
two major pastimes are forming bands or drinking, Quadrophobe escalated beyond being a minor diversion from the trivialities of small-town day to day life, into an all consuming song and dance. Since formation, they have written songs, broken
genre taboos, ridden a piano through a small Oxfordshire village, gigged, and pioneered the Jazz Elephant; roughly in that order.
David Says:
Infectiously ditty like, you can tell these guys are all nuts. Would love to see them live as the tempo suggests an awesome party feel. If these guys can escape to the city I see great things!
JetKing are a 4-piece based in Bristol made up of Vaughn Atkinson - Guitars / Programming / Keyboards, Nick Church - Vocals / Acoustic Guitar, Andy Thompson – Bass and Mark Griffin – Drums. The NME describes them as "Pound for pound
out-slugging their rivals to the electro indie crown”. The sound is a hybrid combination of Indie and Electronica, with a soulful twist. They sold out their first ever live performance at the Louisiana in Bristol in July 2007 through a combination of
internet marketing and word of mouth.
David Says: Jetking have enough quirks and dips to stand out from the anorak indie crowd, which probably means they will go far. They certainly have made a good start.
The Tocsins is a four-piece band from Italy consisting of Luca Durr (guitar, vocals), Tobia Latino (drums), Alessandro Zoffoli (bass) and Ugo Fagioli (guitar, vocals). Ranging in age from 18 to 22, they are students, part time jobbers and committed
to having a good time all round. They met at the dance-floor of a party after noticing each others cool dance moves. Mostly influenced by seventies rock and modern electro pop, they want you to dance.
David says: Brash and noisy indie guitar pop, Hey Hey is a great signature tune. One can only hope that the rest of their songs are as much fun and as in-your-face!
The
very cool Hoi Polloi above with the cans of beer
that caused all that embarrassment ( I know how you feel
guys it happens to me every night - Ed ).
5. The Hoi Polloi – I Hope I Never See You Sober Again
XFM Unsigned winners The Hoi Polloi are Aaron
Hyatt ( bass ), Aizi Robinson ( drums ), Jerome
Gayle ( vox/percs ), Julian Bicknell (
vox/percs ) and Rob 'the bonus' Blake on lead
guitar . Their sound is a mental mash of programmed beats and overdriven guitars. It’s spare, sparse and hard hitting. With an underground Sheep On Drugs feel and plenty of attitude the Hoi Polloi deliver an infected electro sound feverish with beats and passion.
David Says: Plenty of grrr, plenty of bravado. If off the wall, out your head hybrids are your thing, these guys will blow you away!
Matchbox
Radio 24 say " This band are infectious
underground electro, urban , dark Indie house noise
warriors with a great sense of humour. They are witty,
hilarious and hip as hell and we love them. But if you're
a girl don't go near them if they're drinking
Stella".
MySpace
- "Straight out of West London’s Notting Hill comes
a fresh and explosive band in the form of The Hoi
Polloi. The sound they have created blends a wide
range of pop and underground music from Pete Tosh to
Eurythmics and Shy FX to Cobain resulting in a truly
innovative experience in sound. The Hoi Polloi consists of
House and Garage duo Dom Perignon & Dynamite (Aaron
Hyatt and Aizi Robinson, Bassist and drummer.) who are
responsible for Nationwide Hits; ‘Got Myself Together’
and ‘Hungry Tiger’ at the turn of the Millennium. Two
magnetic lead vocalists Julian Bicknell and Jerome Gayle
topped with the captivating guitars of Rob Bonus
B".
Irish four piece Never Close are made up of Clive 'alive' Kennedy – Drums, Matt Quinn – Bass, Conor 'Reggie' Quinn, Guitar and Backing Vocals and Craig 'Scottish' D on Guitar and Lead Vocals.. There are two EP’s out to date which can be
bought in many online stores including itunes. Currently writing some new material and taking bookings for summer.
David Says:
From Emo into Screamo, Never Close rampage around a bit and deliver a satisfyingly big kick after this deceptively slow intro. Yummy!

7. Ben Grieve – Until The Curtain Falls
Ben Grieve is a piano-based singer wong writer, Until The Curtain Falls is a gentle melodic ballade which traces a delicate piano melody against an orchestral striongs back ground before kicking into a more conventional pop structure. Ben’s
voice easily makes the transition, making this an interesting piece of song writing technically without becoming boring from a listening point of view
David Says: A bit niche really, buts it’s well done. Maybe a bit more oomph here and there would make a real difference.
Matchbox Radio 24 says “ Dreamy, melodic, powerful and moving balladeer. Elbow meets Coldplay with more heart and soul”.
The
beautiful, folky and classic new outfit " Kate Lamont and
Blueprintmusic" above.
8. Kate Lamont & Blueprintmusic – Deathbed
From Indianapolis, USA, this ensemble may look like a bluegrass band- there’s a banjo, fiddle, dobro and other trappings- but you won’t find any songs about mama or whiskey. For Kate Lamont and Doug Sauter picking a genre has been a
career long escapade, shifting from folk, to progressive folk to progressive rock, to bluegrass to soul grass to chamber punk and currently settling on Folk, World, Amerikana. Kate Lamont’s soulful vocals and poetic lyrics paint stirring images
while Doug Sauter’s guitar and banjo playing is certainly the result of some Bela Fleck/Michael Hedges gene merge.
David Says:
Yup, it actually is THAT interesting. Kate has a beautiful voice and the combination of these old school instruments really makes for a great sound. And it is almost impossible to button hole.
The
inspiring, relaxing, beautiful, melodic, heavenly voice that is Siobhan O'
Brien above
9. Siobhan O’Brien – All My Trials
Siobhan is from Limerick, Ireland and is a solo singer-songwriter. No newcomer
to the entertainment field, Siobhan made her first audio recording at the
tender age of six, with an old sea shanty. Siobhan has roots from four generations in the music industry. Most notably, she is the niece of Ireland's
Sixties music legend, Brendan Bowyer. Her vocal style has been described as "caressing a lyric with sophisticated simplicity.
David Says: Siobhan certainly has a unique voice and writing style. With the feel of old world original folk songs and a very modern lyrical sensibility, her songs demand a good listening.
Matchbox Radio 24 says “ The voice of an angel gone to folk heaven, sends shivers down your spine, simply beautiful”.
The melodic
and folky pop troubadours Bleeker above
10. Bleeker – Reason
Bleeker are all based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Harris Canning on lead vocals and Acoustic guitar, Lauren Alari on vocals and Stuart Paterson on drums, and John Hides on lead guitar Bleeker was formed by Harris and Lauren way back in 2002 &
over the years have teamed up with many different musicians they like to call the "bleeker Collective", but after meeting john & Stuart the band has gone from strength to strength.
David says: Gentle vocals over catchy acoustic guitar: Reason is one of those provocatively catchy songs without any effort. Great voice and clever music. What’s not to like ?
Judith is a four piece alternative rock group from Johannesburg South Africa consisting of Dale Breedenkamp (Vocals / Guitars), Bradford Yeoman (Guitars / Vocals), Miki van der Walt (Drums) and Warren Bodley (Bass). They describe their
sound as having a fresh rock feel with a warm acoustic touch and truthful, hard hitting vocals.
David Says: With Nirvana inspired vocals and Stained inspired use of acoustic guitar, there’s nothing particularly new to this rock sound, but Judith deliver with passion and intent.
Matchbox Radio 24 says” A South African rock band with powerful melodies and great production values”.
12. GOBI – Human Revolution
A four-piece from Dublin Ireland, Gobi are: Kat Fleming - Vox, Fran Whelan - Lead Guitar, Gavin Pullen - Lead Guitar/Bass Guitar and ay Grange – Drums.
Gobi started out 3 years ago. Lots of gigs and a few Demo recordings resulted in a two week session in Blackbox Recording Studio in France with Producer(ex Frames) Dave Odlum. The band are very much more assured and confident with their
present sound a funky pop style with a country edge. Kats vocal will remind you of Eartha Kitt or Stevie Nicks or how about Nathalie Merchant. Gobi are another step towards being a great Band with great songs..
David Says: Great voice, driving beats, yeah! Nice band and with that poppy rocky sound, they will grab you by the ear and sling you round.
Secret wish are an electronic duo from Belgium. Heidi Pintens sings and Kurt Vervaet does all the other bits and sings as well. They jam pop and dance music together in order to put a smile on your face get you up and dancing. Its pure
bubblegum, dancey stuff.
David Says:One thing about Secret Wish, they are not trying to tell you they are something they are not. Pure saccharine pop this, and yes, it will get your tail twitching for the dancefloor. If you like your pop dancey with a good dash of cheese,
you found your platter!
The 80's esq
new new romantic electro pioneers The Ejector Seats featuring the bullet
proof cool Bex ( A.K.A Rebecca Reynolds ) above.
14. The Ejector Seats – Happiness Don’t Live With Me
Ejector Seats are an electro pop new wave outfit from London, Oxford and Basingstoke in the U.K. The combine the cool sounds of early 80's electro pop and new romantic with modern dance, pop and rock. The band is made up of Lead singer
Rebecca Reynolds, Mr. O on Synths and all things electric and Trevor John on Guitars and /Backing vocals.
David Says: Why take prozac when you can listen to the Ejector Seats? Ignore the vocal line, this is pretty uplifting stuff. Best of the 80’s electronica with a massive dollop of modern pop… Love it!
MC Hammer reincarnates in this quirky rapped up dance track on speed. Its off beat, off kilter and ludicrously catchy. Those bad analogue keyboards sure do hold the attention!
David Says: I am not sure how serious this guy is, but this is a great spoof in a way. Harking back to the very best nonsensical dance music of the past, its rap vocal line just transcends everything!
16. The Wishbones – Karris
Playing a unique blend of reggae, roots, folk and rock, this Bournemouth band have been garnering friends and praise wherever they play live. They have played all over the South West of England and have just finished recording their first album.
A five piece band, they are well known for the live show, and the fact that their style seems to appeal to just about everybody, no matter what age or musical taste.
David Says:A refreshing take on reggae with some great country/folk moments. You can see why they would be popular live as this music is made to get your feet moving.
Link is the solo recording project of bassist Joe Link, formerly of Garden Bower in St Lois, USA. Joe describes the recordings as Indie-Pop recording project that is all about the tension created between elements and the strength of force
necessary to bring them together. LINK is still a collaboration of sorts. Two different soundmen, a couple drummers, and guitarists all cooperated to perform what is on the CD. I played as much of it as I could.
David Says: A sparse song, combining some bizarre sounds with a gentle pop melody and gentle vocal line. Its hard to button hole, which is always a good thing.
Neil Dobson was a regular on the Toronto club circuit for years with various original bands. "I think the most interesting studio gig I did was with a Tabla drum artist from Sri Lanka who wanted
Clapton-esque lead work on some traditional style Indian music, pretty wild gig.." In 1993,he co-wrote a song w/Chris Kearney and Scott Lane called "A Letter From Sarajevo" to help with Red Cross efforts during the war in Sarajevo. "Well I like a lot of styles of music and the "Fabulous Hats"
name comes from the old saying "He wears many hats" . I guess musically, I like to wear a few."
David says: Understated, bare and beautiful. A sublime synergy of voice and acoustic guitar. Lovely.
Matchbox Radio 24 says “ No one makes proper music like this anymore. A real emotional song that touches the soul and makes you think. Beautiful, Watch out Neil Young”.
Jack Harrison is a 24 year old musician who has been writing, singing and playing his songs for many years. He currently has over 60 songs to his name, all of which he's very proud of. As with every struggling musician he's having difficulty in
getting his music heard, so has recently moved close to London with a suitcase of burning desire and ambition.
David Says:Jack has a great sense of music and is clearly on a mission. Suddenly Somewhere is a crystal clear acoustic pop song that demands extra listens!
Paul Carney is a solo performer who hails from the North East of England. He has been writing and playing music for decades, in bands from rock to country and almost everything in between. He has also taken time out to complete his studies
and is also a part time art teacher by day as well as a dedicated Dad. IN 2007 Crack Magazine described him as an “acoustic recipe of honest Northern charm and comedy intros.” In may 2008, one of his tracks hit one hundred thousand plays
on Myspace UK, and the number 4 spot on the Myspace UK charts.
David says: Intense, deeply felt stuff this. Paul Carney really does sing from his heart. Its beautiful and gentle and demands a good listen with no distractions.
Matchbox Radio 24 says “ If you don’t want to cry don’t listen to this at all. This is a lovely, emotional, touching and moving song that will have you in tears each time…..stunning”.
From Budapest, Hungary this gothic six piece consists of Imre Nyuzo – vocals, Istvan Horvath – guitars, Peter Reman – bass, Zoltan Debreczy – guitars, Mate Kocsis – drums and Arpad Kisduda – keyboards. Garden of Eden (Vampires of
Eden), the Don Juan band of Hungarian Dark & Roll, is ready to present the Hungarian-Transylvanian Romantic Vampire party feeling to the world. The group was born from the changing Central Eastern European culture and started to play
so-called classical dark music such as Sisters of Mercy, The Mission and Fields of the Nephilim.
David Says:Really dark and gothic this! Heavy stuff, but brilliantly executed. A must have for the children of the night
www.myspace.com/vampiresofeden
Matchbox Radio 24 – “ An incredible moving dark masterpiece that grows on you and captivates the soul”.
One
of Germany's hottest new sleaze rock exports BB Black
Dog above.
2. BB Black Dog – Music Saves Me
BB Blackdog are a German 3 piece band with a twist: They consist of Two bass players and a drummer only. As a result they have a huge, unique sound that pretty much defies categorisation. The 3 gentlemen in question are members of two
other highly successful German bands the Incubator and Supercraut. Last year, BB Blackdog was voted "Best Sleaze Rock Band" in the 2007 Total rock awards. And that category is about as close as one is likely to get to describing their
massive, driven sound.
David Says: Just when you think you’ve heard it all with instrument combinations, this comes along. These guys are brilliant, it is a way more nuanced sound than you might expect considering the instrumentation. Excellent stuff.
Remnants of Tranquility is a multinational, 2-piece acoustic band consisting of Jason Tierney(vocals, guitar) and Martin Leimgruber (vocals, guitar). Jason Tierney (from Wollongong, Australia) left his home for Europe in the search for music and
ended up in the northern Italian alps in a small city called Meran where in 2004 he met Martin Leimgruber and they started playing, improvising and writing music. This led them to spend 2007 focusing on the acoustic project Remnants of
Tranquility' seeing the dec 07/ Jan 08 release of the songs Retrospect', 'Traces' and 'Chasing Shadows' on Myspace.
David says:Don’t be fooled by the moniker, acoustic band here! This is intense and dark stuff. Combining the best of dirge-like Alice in Chains inspiration with some menacing acoustic guitar, this is impressive and interesting stuff.
Head-Start are a new four-piece pop-punk band from Dublin, Ireland consisting of Joseph O Dywer on guitar and lead vocals ,PJ Ryan on Guitar and backing vocals ,Oscar Hackett on bass and Tristan Gresty on drums. Formed in 2007, they have
just begun to make friends out in the scene. Right now they are busy recording their won songs and plan to release an Ep still this year, so look out for that.
David Says: Brilliant anthemic vocals with solid back up from the band. That gaelic lilt just makes it all. A great track with real promise. You may have to look out for these lads in the future.
Rainpops is an Italian four-piece pop band from th Seaside town of Senigallia. The band consists of Andry: vocals-guitar, Andy: bass-backing vocals, Mauri: keyboard-synth-backing vocals and Tegu: drums. They are a young band, formed in
October 2006. Happy up-tempo tunes predominate in their repertoire and their guitar driven sound is catchy and happy.
David says:A kind of power-pop meets radio hits vibe that works curiously well. The EMO nature of the title of this song totally belies its happy, poppy power. A nice contrast and a name to look out for in the future.
Krishna is an international artist of mixed heritage: Cherokee Indian, black American and Danish. His mixed origins led him to create his own brand of cutting-edge rock based on acoustic and electric guitars, haunted by Cherokee Indian chant.
His charismatic personality and his impressive soulful voice flying through five octaves make him an impressive performer with good songs at his base. He grew up between New-York and Copenhagen and started his career in Denmark where he
first enjoyed success as rock composer and then as a guitar player.
David Says:Krishna’s mix of emotive lyrics, sparse song-writing and heartfelt delivery result in a music of passion and commitment. He certainly packs way more emotion into each song than one can generally find on an entire album by
commercial artists!
From Gothenburg, Sweden, Danger Avenue is a 5 piece rock band made up of members Thomas Van Shaw - Guitar/Vocals, Jimmie Lee Cooper - Vocals/Guitar, Victor DiCola - Guitar , Criss David – Drums, and Matt Ryder on Bass. The play
melodic rock ‘n’ roll with hooks. The five guys in the band are all opinionated and have strong visions of their own, but they share one goal: Bring true melodic rock ‘n’ roll with both depth and entertainment to the people.
David Says: Danger Avenue have massive hair and glam rock influences and their sound harks back to the heydays of Van Halen and Bon Jovi. It’s pure west coast rock from Sweden. You’ve gotta love it!
Ocean Bend are a four-piece band from a town called Preston in the North West of England. They are made up of members - Colin Tootell - Vocals/R/guitar, Craig Gledhill Craigy – drums, Damien Holme Damo – guitars and James Dunn on bass.
Who knew throwing a plumber, a mechanic, and a warehouse operative into a room with a pile of musical toys and gadgets would turn out so well!! With a diverse thaqt moves from old-school, fine-textured, gritty ballad to rock-your-socks-off
tracks that you can't fail to bounce, strut and gyrate to.
David Says: Some great moments in this rocky number. The lads clearly have good chemistry going and you can hear it in the recording.
Darklight is a trio from Edinburgh, Scotland that ahs been around in one form or another since 1999. Composed on singer/guitarist Andy Borthwick, bass player David Doi and drummer Ross Nicol, Darklight describe themselves as a visceral
guitar band. They have been playing around Scotland’s live scene with determination and gathering a good loyal following.
David Says: Darklight have composed a driving, jangly track here that catches the ear and moves the feet. Its clever and powerful, a wicked combination. Combine this with excellent compositional dynamics and you have an unusual rock song
that remains lodged in your brain.
One
of the best new bands from the north The High Hats
above
10. The High Hats – Tall Tales
From somewhere near Sheffield, England, this is a three-piece band with a different approach to music. Three good mates who enjoy their music in such a way as to create the kind of atmosphere to get anybody’s feet tapping along. A
light-hearted approach to music and life is taken whilst a more serious, enthusiastic and professional side is adopted.
David Says:Don’t let the happy-go-lucky vibe of this song fool you, this is good music. The lads have strung together something catchy, fun but serious and well worth repeat listening. Nice one.
Colone is essentially a one man musical project by Roel Adrian Sobel from Zwolle, Overijssel in the Netherlands. Partly electric, partly synthetic, Colone tries to combine the known with the unknown in various respects. Roel has a love of British
music which is abig influence in the sound o the project. Sensitive lyrics are presented with heavy arrangements while dark lyrics are often combined with a sweet production-sound. Colone is basically a one-man project, has been a band and will
maybe be a band again someday.
David Says:An interesting mix of clarion-like guitar and vocals with a driving rhythmic bed. Ocean Of Love manages to sonically conjour the idea of the ocean in its arrangement and progression.
Monitor are a four piece from Cork Ireland consisting of Jay (vocals, guitar), Mark (drums), Fergal (bass), and Brian (guitar). They were chosen as finalists in the National Student Music Awards not so long ago and have been doing well ever since.
Encouraged by the support they were receiving at home, Monitor relocated to Manchester, England where they are now in a position to concentrate on their music on a full time basis.
David Says:This is intelligent, well constructed music. Monitor are clearly serious and well organised. Definitely one to watch out for.
San
Francisco's wonderful Everything gone green ( isn't
that a New Order song ? - Ed) above
13. Everything Gone Green – Headshot
From San Francisco, USA, Everything Gone Green e a 4-piece band that do sound a bit like New Order, as you might hope from th name. The line-up consists of Alicia - keyboards, vocals; Ken - guitar, vocals; Manny - bass, vocals and Sean on
drums. Everything Gone Green is a mix mash of sounds, ideals, and personalities. Started in 2007 by Ken Lee, EGG blasts the simple complexities of life to your ears. From the melodic grooves of Manny, to the funky beats of Sean, to the
poppy melodies of Alicia - Everything Gone Green will guide you with a dose of Alternative Rock, Post Punk, and Brit Rock ... all rolled up into a ball of pop.
David Says: Despite the nod to the Mancunian kings of dance rock pop, they don’t sound too much like New Order, but you can hear the influence. This is way more poppy and light-hearted though., which is certainly not a bad thing. Nice
infectious stuff.
In 1996 five high school students from Recife, Brazil started a rock band The River Raid. The group consists of Toni (vocals/ guitar), Praga (vocals/ guitar), Giba (guitars/ moog), Dudu (bass) and Leo (drums/ sampler). Their music is influenced by
The Stooges, Violent Femmes, Radiohead and other Brazilian artists from the sixties and seventies. They rapidly gained media attention after winning first place at a national band challenge hosted by MTV with the song 2030. After a couple of
years dedicated to other music endeavors, the members of The River Raid got together once again to write and release their official first self titled debut album, The River Raid.
David Says:Visceral, tight and punchy, Time Up is a kick ass song. The scratchy vocals and old-school guitar sound combine perfectly to create a monster number.
Japan's
hottest new rock sensation The Earth in action
above
15. The Earth – You And I
A four piece band from Japan, The Earth comprises Kohji Nishimae on guitar, Minolu Akiyoshi on lead guitar, Nablou Nakasa on drums and Holoyoshi Mizukami on bass guitar. Singing in English and playing sixties tinged guitar pop, The Earth
are a quirky up-tempo outfit. Their music is simple and to the point and You and I is a case in point.
David Says:The Earth are certainly not doing anything new, but they do it with a brash cock-sureness that makes it work. The fact that they are Japanese certainly adds to their quirky appeal, but the song is good enough in its own right!
Matchbox Radio 24 says – “ Japan’s new Indie rock gods “.
Jaze Wade is an American solo artists and record producer who has been locked in his studio for the last 11 years. From Shreveport, Louisiana, He writes music for commercials and films as well, but this song is his first solo UK release. Jaze
is also known as Axiom artist [Sw1RL] and is renowned for his live continuously mixed P.A. shows or live turntable dj sets. There he specialises in Breaks, Electro, & Prog House. Grammy award winning Scott Mathews says "Jaze Wade has a
very modern T-Rex meets John Lennon in Ziggy Stardust’s garage kind of flavour.”
David Says:There certainly is plenty of Glam Rock in this sound, and it’s well done. I am just not sure that I am totally convinced.
Matchbox Radio 24 – “ Retro but modern psychedelic pop rock with a fuzzy edge and well catchy vocals“.
A four-piece punk band from Essex the Decline are an old school act with some serious venom.
Anthemic, punchy and to the point this rocks. The band
consists of: : Harry Redin - Vocals & Bass , Darren Greenwood – Guitar, Charlie Phillpot - Guitar & some vocals and Harry Babington on drums.
David Says: Simple and to the point punk tunes delivered with conviction and passion. There can be few better things in the musical lexicon. Nice stuff that should take them far.
Originally from Italy, the 3 piece that is B.R.A.M. were formed in 2003 but moved to the UK in 2006. They describe their sound as Crime Wave garage. Line-up changes, problems with rehearsing and gigging and more were the prime motivators
for the move to London. After much inner turmoil, the band finally managed to record their debut album, “Borderline Cases”, which was released in early 2007.
David Says: At 2 minutes 29 seconds, this is a short punchy whack to the side of the head. The shouted vocals and very scratchy guitars inject a mad sense of urgency into a crazy little song. Its rough, ugly and works like a dream.
19. Waiting For Yuki – Falling
“Waiting for Yuki” is actually one person, namely Justin North from London, England. His sound draws heavy influences from bands such as Smashing Pumpkins and Placebo. Justin is twenty six and writes all his own material which he then
also records and produces, right down to playing every instrument. He has a home studio where he produces all of this material and is thinking about finding ways to play his material live.
David says: With another mind involved in the production here, this could be a killer track. As it is, for a self produced and penned rock tune, this is a great track. Much potential lurks while Waiting For Yuki it appears.
Ich Bin Chimp hail from Kerridge England and as a group are made up of Dorothy Perkins - Korg, guitar, bass; Jimmi Hoo - vocals, guitar, bass & toy Baby Grand piano and D Baby on drums. And that is about all they will say abouit themselves.
Their style is a kind of menacing electronica with evil guitar ala Fad Gadget or Alien Sex Fiend.
David Says:Precisely the kind of weird ass messing about with minds that I love. This is dark, ugly and full of menace. Absolutely beautiful stuff!
