THE
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW
1. What made you decide to start
a career in music. Tell us a bit about your
history/success
to date ?
I used to sing a lot to myself when I was younger and one day my
mum heard me, she got me to apply for a competition in which I
received some feedback with some directional advice such as getting
involved in more competitions and making sure I make the most of my
voice with music lessons.
2. Who or what are your influences ?
I have two main things that really influence me, the fact I know I
can use music to promote diabetes awareness and raise money for the
cause, the other is that I really enjoy seeing people have a good
time and knowing it can be me on a stage making people smile
influences me to do it again and again.
3. What modern artists do you like ?
I love all kinds of music from a ton of artists
but at the moment I really enjoy listening to artist's such as Blake
Shelton, Katy Perry, 3 Doors Down, Secondhand Serenade and a good
bit of Brad Paisley.
4. Tell
us all about your experience working on the Harry Potter Movie order
of the Phoenix ?
Im not able to say much about my experience on the Harry Potter set
as i had to sign a confidentiality form but it was quite an
experience being at Hogwarts ,it was great to see how it all goes
together.I had to have my hair cut a bit to play Harry which was one
thing i was nervous about but it soon grew back to how i like
it,Spiky.
5. What inspires you to write your music/lyrics ?
Life, what else could really inspire me when there is so much you
could sing about, so many people in so many different situations.
6. Name your all time favorite track by another band/artist
?
It has to be "She's Everything" by Brad Paisley an amazing American
country singer.
7. What sort of sound can we expect from your forthcoming E.P
?
How would you describe your music and what genre do you think it
fits into?
Hmm . . . well I guess it
could be considered a pop balled with a small hint of country which
reflects a little personality and some of my uniqueness
8. What are your ambitions for your music. Where do you see
yourself in 5 years?
I never really plan too much cause you never know when it will be
over, I would like to follow my single up with an album and a number
1 would always be nice, I will need to really work hard if I am
going to get that and a lot of support from my fans too.
9.
Where was your new material recorded and who was producing ?
I recorded my tracks at Jools Holland complex and also used manfred
Manns studio too.My producer is ian Tompson who is an amazing guy
and i hope to continue working with him for a long time as he knows
me inside out and what i can and cant do and always makes me work
hard even when im not wanting to which is what i need sometimes LOL
!
(Thanks Ian for everything especially introducing me to nepalese
food)
10.
In the U.K, music and food has combined with celebrity rock and pop
stars now appearing and cooking on TV food shows. Please can you
give us your favorite recipe?
I think I am going to be considered boring now but I love anything
to do with rice or noodles, I am a simple guy really and easy to
keep happy as long as we have some rice or noodles about, you can
