"Here she is "
is the dynamic, eclectic, melodic, diverse and rocking debut album from the
stunning new artist "Louieze". Louieze started
her career playing keyboards in a pop rock band but after the band split she
decided to go for it on her own. She started writing and recording her own music
which lead to the unique and inspiring sound that can be heard on her debut
offering. Louieze plays piano, keyboard, guitar, bass and also writes
and sings all the songs including the backing vocals. Her music reminds us of
many breakthrough female artists like Lene Lovich, Souixsee, Hazel O' Connor,
Amy Mann and more.
Louieze has had a brush with TV and modelling including a lookalike TV show
as Uma Thurman and The Clothes Show model competition when she was a teenager.

1. What made you decide to start a career in music , tell us a bit about
your history to date ?
Ever since being a kid I have had a huge imagination and enjoyed all things creative it was a natural progression to move into creating music and
developing a career in this area. Kind of like a tap you cannot turn off songs are always with you waiting to be let out.
2. We think your music is great and comes from a simular school to artists like Hazel O' Connor, Siouxsie, Lene Lovich, Altered Images and Till Tuesday
. Who or what are your influences ?
To be honest my main influence comes from a feeling I need to write about , which can range from, feeling happy, sad , confused, horny, pissed off,
silly or playful .As we all feel at different times if something or someone is playing on my
mind I just have to get it out in a song. I do like a varied bag of music from The Cure to Grace Jones to U2 to Nine
Inch Nails to Kate Bush to Blondie to The Killers
3. What modern artists do you like?
The Killers, Snow Patrol, Muse, Radiohead, loads the list is endless. The most recent album I bought was James Morrison !! because the lyrics in one of his hit songs sits with me at the mo. My taste runs into lots of
different styles of music. If the mood or the lyric sits with me I like the song.
4. How do you write your songs what's the process ? Do you come up with lyrics first or the melodies ?
I usually sit with drums then I build up from there this tempo will change until it sits with the mood I am in then bass or guitar comes next or keys
or piano the lyrics don't usually give to much of a headache they flow out during the song because they are on my mind.
5. Your music has a very classic alternative sound with a dark edge. What inspires you to write your music/lyrics ?
Well my mind just wonders to a feeling thinking about a sexy guy or feeling in a state of confusion. It has to come out. The song.. Take Me To The Wild Side
Came to me when I was washing up I was fed up at doing it again and the vibe and lyrics started in my head !!!!!! I imagined a sexy guy
rescuing me from this boring chore and us getting wild
and me going off on his motor bike with him (that's how I'd like the video) Im' washing up with a little pinny around my waste in a barn/ranch and the
birds and animals are listening to me the birds are waving their heads on the washing line in time with the bass line in a cute way....
6. Name your top 5 tracks of all time ?
U2.... New years day
Grace Jones....Walking in the rain
The Dammed....Elouise ( wow we love this too a lot yipee-Ed )
Ultravox......Vienna ( wow we love this even more hello Midge-Ed)
Kate Bush.....Wuthering Heights
7. What are your ambitions for your music. Where do you see yourself in 5 years ?
To be successful and one a least my 3 or 4th album I'd like to be able to call singing song writing and performing my professional career
8. How would you describe your music and what genre do you think it fits into ?
My music is a mixture of funky unusual bass dark and sexy guitars and Indie pop vibes
9. Where was your album "Here she is" recorded and who is producing ?
My album was recorded at Joe Public studios in London. The Producer is Joe Lonsdale. He is lovely we have a laugh
10. What's the music scene like in Wales at the moment and what are your general thoughts of the current music climate do you think it's a good or bad time for music ?
The music scene in Wales produces some great acts the most recent is The Automatic. There have been The Stereophonic, The Manic Street Preachers, Catatonia
there are lots of musicians as songwriters as with the rest of the UK. These days it is difficult for the artiste and the record label. Because of
some aspects of illegal copying of music the major record labels and Indie labels have lost revenue.
This coupled with the fact there are many outlets now for music on TV radio and online
Competition is fierce in the day of Rod Stewart less people were trying to make it. As we all know Major labels only sign 1 or 2 new acts a year and
concentrate on their major acts that are guaranteed to bring in revenue. However this has not ever deterred me.
