THE ORACLE UNLEASHED
( pictured above) are a new young and
exciting glam punk band from North Wiltshire UK. This great new 3 piece
band consists of Simon Moody, Richey Hate and Dan O. They like to cause a
riot and have in the past been
known to be behind a lot of teenage rebellion in the Wiltshire area . They license the energetic anti establishment anthem
"The Queen is a bitch". Now Now boys calm down she has just done
the jubilee tour . I am sure the Sex Pistols didn't care about that
when they challenged the establishment. This song starts off with loads of
feedback and leads in to a rock n' roll style feel reminiscent of The
Buzzcocks and The Only One's on speed. Catchy, poppy and angry this track
rules and will be the anthem of all angry teenagers sick of life in
general and the constant pressure from idiotic adults ( Hey that's me -
web ed ) and people in power.
Check them out on Centre Stage.
Inspiring new solo artist LIAM BOWLER
originally from Montana but now residing in New Zealand releases this
great acoustic song " For the faithful" on Centre Stage. This lovely
Nick Drake-ish song boasts a lo-fi acoustic guitar riff with
passionate and emotional vocals delivered in a very melodic fashion. The
vocals tell a story of pain, struggle and love . " I won't ever go
away" laments Liam touching on Red House Painters territory. Great new
music from a very talented solo artist who writes heartfelt songs of truth
and hope. Great.
New solo artist NICOLI license the beautiful and dreamy song
"Space and time" to Centre Stage with it's flowery and reverb
drenched 60s mood. "This time I'm leaving " threaten the lead
vocals leading into a classic Byrds -esq chorus with jangly guitars and a
heavenly feel. This song is also reminiscent of Teenage Fanclub and
provokes a feeling of sadness and euphoria at the same time . An overall beautiful and touching song
worthy of very high praise from NICOLI. watch out for this one.
Staying in an acoustic mood is new solo artist SPARKY.
He licenses the fabulous and melancholy song "She's so
Beautiful". This touching and melodic track is
delivered with emotion in an angst ridden lo-fi acoustic Indie fashion.
Superb. " I love her to the end of the day" sings the sentimental
SPARKY in an almost Beatles -like style. Classic and retro with loads of proper
songwriting values. Great and very relaxing.

Great new and different acoustic based melodic
band THE DIFFERENTS from Chicago USA follow with the catchy and flowery
" Here for me". This song starts off with some jazzy chords and
brushed up drums and leads into a mellow and catchy chorus that provokes a
feeling of melancholy combined with melodic joy. " Can't be all that
bad" sings the lead vocalist bringing this short, sweet and touching
song to a end with good old fashioned 60s style shakers. The Differents
are a traditional band with good old fashioned songwriting values and the
shine bright on this album of new talent. Great new music in an almost
Colourfield -esq style from the other side of the Atlantic. Lovely.

Warming things up next are very cool new
Indie pop band THE GOODS. They license the jangly, flowery, organ
fuelled song " You Want" to Centre Stage". This song
is filled with groovy drums, wah wah guitars and very catchy and melodic
vocals that could have come off any big hit from the 60s. This song has a
Charlatans/Ride/Love/Pale Fountains feel and shows that the Goods are
songwriters of true style. Close your eyes and this track conjured up
images of lava lamps and smoked filled rooms full of psychedelic lights.
The Goods deliver the goods with Grade A class. Poppy, jangly, catchy and
perfect 60s esq pop in a world of bland major label bands like Toploader.
Excellent.
INERTIA are a great new UK rock band with
loads of energy and riff packed power. They license the song "
Heat". This great song starts off with a stomping beat and leads into
a rhythmic and groovy bassline that paves the way for a powerful and classic
guitar sound reminiscent of Hendrix and Stone Roses. The vocals appear
from out of the blue and are delivered with passion and power. Inertia are
retro but maintain a modern sound somewhere between Oceon Colour
Scene and Sabbath. Great and perfect for those late night drunken
parties. Watch out for them.
"Mind Free" is a dreamy leftfield song
from the wonderful CHILLAXX RECORDINGS. This lo-fi Indie rock dirge
is full of subliminal vocals and far away chugging guitars that sound
ominous but poppy at the same time. Loops and retro 70s riffs chug along
like a train at full speed and take the listener on a journey of discovery
and awakening. This experimental and surreal modern masterpiece is full of
sweeping synths and breakbeats that lay low over the very dreamy and
melodic vocals. This band are the Alan Parsons project of the noughts and
prove that they are the rulers of modern electro retro. Inspiring and perfect
for late night chill out sessions and drug binges. ( Excellent,
put it on again - web ed)

Chillaxx Recordings live in action above
Ending this great new music album we have THE
COCALORDS. This great new band come from the Isle of Bute and are a
classic sounding band combining influences from Neil Young to Oasis to The
Who to create an epic sound in the song " This Life". With
powerful and melodic vocals slightly reminiscent of Richard Ashcroft and
mellow but groovy guitars this band prove they are good proper song
writers of a high standard. The Cocalords have already supported legends
like Leo Sayer and Hue n Cry and are set for big things.
